Looking to make someone's heart race this Valentines? If your man has a sweet tooth (and loves a spot of tea) then these beautiful infused truffles are bound to impress. After all, we all know that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach...
Single? Make them for yourself! These truffles taste heavenly, regardless of your relationship status.
Check your cupboards for- 375g chocolate (I used a combination of dark and milk chocolate)
- 300g extra thick cream
- 10 Earl Grey tea bags
- Greaseproof paper
- A baking tray
How to make the truffles
Chop the chocolate into small pieces (the finer the better) and place into a glass bowl. Heat the cream and tea bags on a low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture begins to boil. Squash the tea bags into the mixture to infuse the flavour - don't worry if they split as your next step involves straining the mixture over the chocolate. Stir throughly until you have a silky consistency. If your mixture isn't quite there, pop the bowl over a pan on boiling water to aid the process.
Line a baking tray with grease proof paper and pour the ganache onto it, starting in the middle and working your way out with a spatular. Give the tray a shake to encourage an even coverage.
Pop the tray into the fridge for 2-3 hours and choose your shape cutter! Depending on your shape, take 5 minutes to work out how best to cut your ganache to ensure minimum wastage.
