This really has been Adele's week: first an overwhelming reception at the Grammy's with her six awards and rapturous welcome, now an appearance on the coveted front cover spot of US Vogue. The singer takes over the front page of the March 2012 edition with dramatic, wind-swept hair and make-up and a ruched black dress that shows off her curves beautifully.But this is not the first time that Adele has been a cover girl, as she also graced the cover of British Vogue back in September, and US Vogue again in 2009, making this her third appearance in as many years - not bad going for any celeb. The star, who jokingly refers to herself as 'the face of full fat Coke', was soon enough the subject of speculation over whether editor Anna Wintour had instructed her team to airbrush the images to make her look slimmer, but we've heard no such rumours this time around.
While Adele is separately a singing sensation and successful woman in her own right, it is interesting that the fashion world has embraced her so readily and perhaps no surprise that nay-sayers have questioned the extent to which it really has. The pictures themselves look genuine and un-doctored to us, so let's hope they are as natural as they appear to be.
