The countdown is on; it's officially 5 days, 7 hours, 56 minutes and 21 seconds until C-Day as I'm typing, and even the mere thought of this fact is giving us palpitations here in the Dollymix office. Why is it that the thought of a day said to be full of joy, giving, friends and family is enough to bring most of the UK out in a cold sweat?!
When I announced to friends, colleagues and family that I was daring to brave Oxford Street this weekend to complete the entirety of my Christmas shopping, I was greeted with gasps and looks of sheer horror - I think they genuinely feared for my safety. The truth of the matter, the shops weren't that manic, but there's so much hype sounding December 25th that everyone is at panic stations before it's at all necessary.
For the super cautious shoppers out there, online is the best place to complete your last minute buys and you can also bag yourself a real bargain there too. Office, Topshop and Amazon are guaranteeing delivery on time for the big day as late as today and Debenhams, River Island and ASOS are offering guaranteed Xmas delivery as late as Friday 23rd December.
