eHarmony.jpg The world of dating is one full of rules, faux pas and experiences - both weird and wonderful. No one knows this better than actress and presenter Donna Air, who has recently been blogging for eHarmony as their guest blogger. Donna has opened up about her four and a half years on the dating scene in London, for the benefit of the eHarmony community. Her blog Dating Unplugged covered everything from her own experiences to the advice she gives to others on the dating scene.

Donna explained:

"The search for the perfect partner is the one thing that unites all of us, whatever our
circumstances, and starting that journey again after a long relationship can be scary. I was
really excited to be asked by eHarmony to share some of my stories, and hopefully help
other single people in the process. It can feel like a 'dating jungle' out there at times but
sharing our experiences with each other will help us all on that mission to find the perfect
person!"

Donna has now handed over the dating blog baton to writer, comedian and actor Andrew Clover, so we can have a good nosy at his blokey dating diaries!

If you're looking to get back into dating, you might want to try out eHarmony, then check out our suggestions below of five dates you have to try.

  • The zoo: It might not have worked for Kirk and Amy on The Only Way Is Essex, but the cute animals are great when you need a distraction or something to fill any awkward silences. Plus it beats Joey Essex's suggestion of a visit to the tip....
  • Theme Park: Similar to the above, it's got enough going on that you'll be distracted from any awkwardness, but fun enough to be memorable.
  • Cocktail Class: Most upmarket bars offer cocktail lessons, where you can learn how to create Cosmopolitans, Mojitos and Martinis. Date with a fit guy AND learn made cocktail skills? Win.
  • Mini Golfing: Yeah, you read that right! Grab some tiny putters, a luminous golf ball and get putting around the course. Nothing like a bit of healthy competition and slight shame to get two people bonding.
  • Lunch: Often, we go for dinner or cinema dates, but a lunch break gives you a set amount of time to meet up, while having an excuse if the pairing isn't quite right.
What date would you like to go on (aside from one with Brad Pitt!)?
