Harry Potter might be a magical master, but his sense of style sucks. School uniforms and floppy fringes? Puh-lease!
But there's one item in his wardrobe I'm lusting over. The Invisibility Cloak. You know, for those essential tasks where you want to be invisible.
While the Invisibility Cloak was merely fiction when JK Rowling wrote the books, scientists are now working on a cloak that hides objects.
While Harry had to rely on magic for his invisibility, the new technology is based on splitting light and calcite crystal.
Dr Zhang, who is leading the team of Physicists from the University of Birmingham and colleagues from Imperial College, London, and Technical University of Denmark said: 'This is a huge step forward as, for the first time, the cloaking area is rendered at a size that is big enough for the observer to "see" the invisible object with the naked eye.

What would you do with an invisibility coat?
