Fame! I'm gonna live forever!

I bet you can't watch that video without singing. (I can't even watch it without imagining myself doing high kicks and pirouettes but that's another story). Yes, the video is shoddy, but damn it was a good film with the best soundtrack ever. And if you're free on Sunday, you can join Denise Van Outen in her Fame re-enactment in central London. There's nothing about this event that doesn't make me smile.

The lovely Ms Van Outen will be running about London with a yellow cab following her, and you can all get your leg warmers on and go and join her for some Fame-based frolics. In fact, I'd be mighty annoyed if you weren't wearing leg-warmers. Or at least pull your hair into a really high ponytail with a neon scrunchie.

The silly fun is all to promote TCM (frankly the best movie channel for daytime watching) and later on in the month they'll be having a 'Fame Night' which sounds all kinds of fun. I'm not usually a fan of any kind of flashmobbing, but they've distracted me with Fame-y fun and now I'm excited!

But really, I'm just all about jumping about and looking like an idiot in London for the day. I can't make it and I'm gutted (I'll be taking part in the online cookery contest NomNomNom). It's a shame because at some point in the day, probably after one too many drinks, I'd try and do a really high kick and it would all go wrong. I'd tear my specially bought pink leotard thingy, and accidentally kick Ms. Van Outen in the face. I'm not exactly the most coordinated person. And well, that would be really quite funny.

If you want to get your groove on and make us remember your name, just log onto the site and send them your email. The location is being kept a secret until you sign up (health and safety people!), but if you're really not sure where you're going, just get to the nearest station and follow the Irene Cara sing-alongs. They really won't be that hard to spot.

Fame-y fun! It certainly was. What better excuse to get up in 80s gear and dance with hot stuff Denise Van Outen and funny man Johnny Vegas. Here's some fun footage from the sunny Sunday.
