beerdollymix.jpgI like beer. If I'm honest, there isn't much that I won't drink. I'm certainly not an "only drink Rioja" kind of girl. And I like the taste beer, yes, actually like it. I even drink ale every now and again (I'm from the countryside). But it does come with a certain stigma attached, doesn't it? Nothing ruins the effect of a ball gown like holding a pint of Stella.

And now Koors have come up with the Bittersweet Partnership. It's new initiative to not only get more women drinking beer, but those who do like it actually ordering it. Apparently women are to embarrassed to order a pint of the fizzy stuff, even if they're a fan. This surprises me. Sure, there's occasions when drinking a pint doesn't really fit, but I've never been embarrassed to order one. And any guy I know breathes a sigh of relief that I've ordered a beer instead of a cocktail.

So Bittersweet are doing what they can to change to image of beer and the gender divide. They're going to 'girl it up'. This means pretty advertising, the true calorie content revealed, and the whole package to be much more appealing. So here's a poll for Friday. Do you drink beer? Do you mind ordering it? Does it even need girling up?
