It's Friday so only right we gave you some ideas on how to spend it!
In at Number 1 of what to do tonight is The Matt Irwin : PUNK. PERFECT. AWFUL
Private view at Cordy House with Dazed Digital. Matt Irwin, the son of devout Mormon parents, spent his teenage years dividing his time between working in a tractor factory and tying miniature explosives to his bike and riding around like a lunatic. Fast-forward a decade or so, and he is pretty much one of the most sought-after young photographers working in Britain today. Starting out, in his own words, "taking pictures of fucked up, lo-fi punk kids", Matt Irwin is now pointing his lens at supermodels for Vogue, Self Service and V Magazine among others, and shooting campaigns for leading high street stores.
Number 2 is Desdemona Plays Pop's launch night at the Horse and Groom, Shoreditch. A feel good 80's theme night with the most spritely of 80's tunes.
At Number 3 is Annie's Bar in Kennington, North London. A great cocktail selection is just perfect for after work relaxation and the decor is fantastic! We will be down here doing fashion shoots shortly! Wonderfully decadent.
Number 4 would have to be dinner at Gilgamesh in Camden. This is a new favorite of mine. Wonderful sushi and curries (I recommend the Beef Penaeng and all the dim sum!). I would also like to give a special mention to the manager there and the staff as they are all super friendly. Not overly light on the pockets but thoroughly worth it if you feel like treating yourself!
Finally Number 5 is the newly opened Ghost on Farringdon Road. The amazing interior it a talking point all of its own with high ceilings almost gothic black walls and chandeliers and brilliant graffiti art. Ghost is also 24 hours so you can really make the most of your Friday!
