Yep, it's Britney Spears' hacked Twitter account.
'Brit-Brit' was one of 33 celebrities to have their accounts violated with scandalous posts. Fox news guy Bill O'Reilly found himself tweeting a gay confession, while CNN newsguy Rick Sanchez's tweets said he was "staying home from work because he was too high on crack".
A separate high-profile phishing campaign caused thousands of the site's users to receive phony messages designed to trick them into visiting sites that steal their login credentials. Miscreants used the compromised identities to spam additional Twitter users who followed the account holder. But the bods at Twitter say that this was unconnected.
Barack Obama's account was hacked, too - this "free gas" survey took users to another phishing site. Although some might say the clue is in the message:
Twitter has locked down these accounts and is taking action to minimise the risk of this happening again:
"First, we are increasing the security of our sign-in mechanism. For added security, we are further restricting access to our support tools."
To my knowledge, Britney Spears has not issued any further statements regarding her vagina.
