Sum up your 2008 in 24 words for the Mayfly Project

borneat.pngFeeling introspective but don't want to get weighed down by the detail?

Why not take inspiration from the mayfly - it only lives for 24 hours. This is its biography: born, eat, shag, die.

This is Meg Pickard's third year running the Mayfly Project (the 2006 and 2007 projects are archived), where she invites commenters to distill their year into 24 words.

As Meg says, "there's nothing quite like embracing the constraint of brevity (whether time or wordcount) when summing up the last year of your life to make you re-examine your priorities, or focus on what has affected you or was important to you over the last twelve months."

My contribution for this year is nice and vague (and slightly pretentious):

Buried someone, hired someone; got promoted, dejected and written in a book, invaded Cornwall, Vegas and Edinburgh, now trying to get unlost in London.

How was 2008 for you?
