Lest anyone still wonders whether there's a teeny-weeny connection between religion and hypocrisy, allow the case of lady vicar Rev Teresa Davies to hammer home that point. She's just been banned from practising by the Church Of England for 12 whole years, for turning up drunk to church services. Oh, and for swinging.
There's something tremendously Carry On film about the whole fiasco, not least in the fact that the Rev and her husband used swinging websites, posting under the name "Tess & Mick", and that the whole thing came to light because "Tess" got tipsy at lunch with another Reverend. After the meal, she admitted that "I think I have said too much."
It's probably very immature to find this so amusing, but after our recent oil-into-face / misogynistic ads depressingness, a smutty vicar is a touch too *titter* to ignore.
