Gay Times has had the genius and thoroughly amusing idea of taking the old homophobic spiel about promoting a "gay agenda" and actually doing it - they've commissioned a series of ad agencies to create campaigns which aim to convert fellas to the "gay lifestyle". Most of them are funny and make the point about how absurd such accusations are very nicely...
But there's one that just feels nasty:
I know it's meant to be light-hearted, but there's something wearisome about resorting to lady-bashing, even if it is in the name of fun. And the selection of women is strange. What's the point? That we're all "slags" (Jodie Marsh)? Mentally ill (Kerry Katona)? Clever lawyers (Cherie Blair)?
So boo to you, King's Arms Creative in Manchester, for not actually managing to be all that creative at all, even with a gift of a commission like this.
