Last week, my boiler broke. I spent three days a very shivery little blogger. Now, I have no water. I need my tea! I can't blog without tea! Short of getting Shiny Towers to pay for me to live in The Dorchester for the rest of the week (guys? any chance?) I've got to get someone in to do the work.
And after a chat with your next guest editor, Laura Kidd, I've realised I'd be much more comfortable with a woman doing it. So this week, instead of just one woman of the week, you've got a whole bunch of them.
Home Jane are a group of handywomen who can do all of those little jobs you'd usually have to get a guy in to do. (I'm sure some of you ladies can do it yourself, but I can't.)
Truth is, I'm not sure I feel completely comfortable letting a guy I don't know into my home and I don't like feeling vulnerable in my own house.
Home Jane sees to change all that and I think founder Jo Behari is pretty cool for seeing that not only was this a great business gimmick, but also something that was needed by women. We should always feel safe in our homes.
Home Jane are my handywomen of the week, for being really really good at putting up shelves.
