Marc Quinn's 18 carat gold sculpture of Kate Moss has been unveiled at the British Museum. The statue, called 'Siren' is hollow and weighs about 50kg. It's said to be the largest gold statue in the world since Egyptian times. It's worth £1.5M, and in case you were wondering... she's doing yoga. Quinn said "I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who's the ideal beauty of the moment. But even Kate Moss doesn't live up to that."
The statue is part of the exhibition Statuephilia which opens tomorrow and runs until January 25th. What do you think? Is it art?
