We can let some of the early roles slip, for the moment, and just remember The Wicker Man, where she did a weird naked dance against a wall and was generally very mysterious and brilliant.
The 65-year-old describes her one-woman Edinburgh show, Britt on Britt as 'a gentle stroll through my life, just me talking about the way it was'. She's bedded a few high-profile men in her time, and one imagines she has a few great stories. More to the point though, she's among of the last of a certain generation of glamorous film stars from an era when people had to be witty and charming just to get by. That's how I imagine it, anyway.
