Marking the 60th Anniversary of Scrabble®, the WordWide Awards give you the chance to vote for the influential people that have used words to the greatest effect across a number of different categories including Entertainment, Sport, Written word, Politics and Music.
To cast your vote, visit Mattelscrabble.com. Word stars with the highest number of votes in each category will be awarded the ultimate wordsmith's accolade - The Golden Scrabble® Tile in October.
We're giving away 5 sets of the special edition 60th Anniversary Scrabble® which features a contemporary translucent board and tiles. Just write to editor@dollymix.tv with five words you think people should use more.
We've had a great response so far, but please do enter if you haven't done so yet! Suggested words sent in so far have ranged from the benevolent and heart-warming 'love' or 'positive' and the polite 'thank you', to the downright unpronounceable (kvetch?) Two people have independently nominated 'crapulous' and we're particularly enjoying the ones that come with annotation: the pronunciation of amoeba reminds one entrant of
Wall-E. "Ameeee-ba. Ameeeee-BA!"
Can you beat that?
