You can't move these days for pictures of Kate Garraway suckling a farmyard animal at her teat. I think it's actually supposed to promote breast-feeding rather than, say, stop us ever wanting to drink milk, go to a farm, or watch GMTV ever again. In fact, these shots are publicising Kate's show about the dangers of bottle-feedling babies with cow's milk. Perhaps you can see what they're getting at without me spilling spelling it out. For the record, The Salon thinks the message is sound but 'mommy shaming' never is. What do you make of it all? Is feeding a child cow's milk exactly like breast-feeding a calf? And actually, does that seem so bad in itself, really? When dogs suckle tigers, we think it's cute. Food for thought!
