So Nicole Kidman has had her little 'un and called it Sunday Rose. It sounds to us like a delicious dessert, but it's sort of a pretty name in its own weird way, no doubt about that. Sunday joins a long line of children named after days of the week; here are just a five of them...
1. Wednesday from The Addams Family. Her full name is Wednesday Friday Addams and she was immortalised (aha!) by Christina Ricci - the original 'spooky doll', in the film of the same name (and its sequels). Whatever the Addams Family Values were, they weren't to give their kid a normal name.
2. Friday from Dragnet. OK, I'm cheating a bit here because it's actually his surname. Who could forget those classic words: "My name is Friday. I carry a badge." Hmm. You, apparently...
3. Thursday Knight from Ugly Betty, of course. Of course!
4. Warwick Davis plays a character called Saturday in the 2001 version of Snow White. The seven dwarves are each named after a day of the week. Lovely idea, no? I wonder if Davis ever feels typecast.
5. There's a minor character called Tuesday in the recent - and might I say entirely accurate - Courtney Cox series about life on a gossip magazine, Dirt.
Which day of the week would you name your kid after? You know, if you HAD to?
