Hang on, I thought it was usually the other way round? The US takes our shows (Queer as Folk, Coupling, Life on Mars, Spaced etc) and makes a hash of re-doing them (with the notable exception of The Office) while we all roll our eyes, gnash our teeth and generally enjoy a good old whinge.
Well, now it's our turn to remake a US show, and ITV have stepped into the breach, announcing its intention to start work on Dharma & Greg. Apparently, it's "perfect for the UK". But, what someone's failed to realise is that while Dharma may be cute when she's American, British people will want to throttle the entirely too perky little dippy hipstrel. Or maybe that's just me...
