I'm pretty sure this falls somewhere between ever so sweet, and ever so ill thought out. A blogger has erected a life-sized cardboard cutout of his girlfriend in a New York neighbourhood, in the hope that strangers will have their photo taken with it and email her the photos. In his words "Soon she will have an entire album of images of herself and many, many friends partying in Greenpoint!". Apparently, she misses the neighbourhood so much since she moved to Connecticut that this is the only thing to bring her out of the doldrums.
But leaving aside the inevitable NSFW photos she's going to receive, can we talk about The Hips?
I don't care if it's true to life - if my boyfriend is creating an image of me, I want some creative photo-shopping done. I want him to lift my boobs, skinny-up my calves and straighten my nose. And then I want him to give me natural-looking highlights. Doesn't look like me any more? I. Don't. Care.
