-There's a really cool feature in The Guardian today about Geek Girl Dinners and why Sarah Blow decided to set them up in the first place. Blow says that she wanted to give women in technology and science a chance to speak and meet other women in their field: "I wanted women to get the chance to meet each other, as much as anything and to get that confidence that comes from knowing other women in the industry."
-While I could name off plenty of dog breeds, I don't think I could name off more than three cat breeds. However, The Telegraph has a list of the 20 best cat breeds. Domestic Short and Domestic Long hair cats top the list, and I now know that I would love to have a bengal kitty.
-We've all seen those commercials with women complaining about how "bloated" they feel and how it makes them feel "less sexy", and The Times report today that these probiotic yogurts and drinks are actually good for you - especially Yakult.
-Apparently Alice Walker's life of hardcore feminism nearly tore her family apart. Her daughter Rebecca write in the Daily Mail about how she almost missed out on being a mother "thanks to being brought up by a rabid feminist who thought motherhood was about the worst thing that could happen to a woman".
