Isabella Rosellini's new project Green Porno is the Sundance Channel's new series of mobile phone-friendly short films, where Rosellini reenacts the mating rituals of insects all on her own. The film features the acclaimed actress dressed up like a dragonfly, spider, bee, praying mantis, worm, snail and housefly doing the nasty with insect partners made out of cardboard cut outs.
All I can say, is that if this were any other actress or actor doing this, it wouldn't be taken nearly as seriously. Even if Sienna Miller of Kirsten Dunst did a film like this, it would just come across all trendy and desperate. But somehow, someway, Isabella Rossellini dressed up like a bug and fucking cardboard just screams art.
