Ecudorian women given "right" to express their sexuality, and are you British in bed?
Ecuadorian assembly member Maria Soledad Vela says that because women in Ecuador have traditionally just been seen as sex objects or baby makers, she wants to give women a right to not only good sex but sexual expression. Vela recently approved a provision for women's sexual and reproductive rights, and an opposing assemble member, Leonardo Viteri, accused Vela of trying to decree orgasm by law, saying it "isn't possible." Vela responded by saying, "I never asked for the right to orgasm, only the right to enjoyment."
In other sex news, Em&Lo have linked to a seemingly harmless quiz called "Are You British In Bed?" which will help you find out which sexual cultural stereotype you best fit into. I found the title and quiz annoying (seeing as I can definitely vouch that the British are not bad or shy in bed) at the beginning, but it was all interactive and cute so I didn't think much more of it. But then I got to the end bit that said my "sexual nationality" was Taiwanese because I was "selfless in bed" and the stereotype made me throw up in my mouth a little. Nice one, KY. I'm sure no one will be offended by your fun little ad campaign.
