I'm not sure if you're aware, but there seems to be this huge fascination with women's relationship with chocolate. For whatever reason, women like chocolate, but the media would like you to believe that we love it more than men, and to the point where we would happily trade our passwords for a bit of chocolate. Absurd? Indeed. However, researchers at the University of East Anglia (UAE) in Norwich think that there is a "natural plant compound could help postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes ward off heart disease" according to The London Paper. Professor Aedin Cassidy, the Professor of Diet and Health at UEA, says that:
"Despite postmenopausal women being at a similar risk to men for developing cardiovascular disease, to date they are under-represented in clinical trials. We hope to show that adding flavonoids to their diets will provide additional protection from heart disease and give women the opportunity to take more control over reducing their risk of heart disease in the future."
