When you're a firm believer that the sisterhood should stick together and stop giving in to "she's too fat, she's too thin, she's ugly, urgh look at her shoes, stupid slag"-style misogyny that we're all guilty of indulging in from time to time, it's very frustrating to discover there are ladies out there giving the rest of us a bad name. So if you're a rampant anti-feminist and want to make life difficult for the rest of us, here's my Top 10 suggestions.
PTO for the full, *hi-larious* list.
1. Spend half an hour of every day telling your boyfriend everything that you've eaten that day with analysis on whether you've been Good or Bad. This should be done loudly, in public, preferably on a mobile phone.
2. Every time you head off on a holiday, a weekend away or a romantic meal out, say to your friends "he better bloody well put a ring on my finger this time".
3. Believe in any kind of alternative therapy - despite peer-reviewed scientific evidence that shows it's quackery - and say "honestly, it really does work for me" or "well, I believe in it anyway because my neighbour said she was cured after three sessions". Ditto for horoscopes.
4. Disapprove of any female who has an affair with a married man without making any judgement call on the bloke.
5. Develop an irrational hatred for a woman you've seen in Heat magazine (but never met or spoken to), and make a point of saying "I *HATE* that stupid bitch/cow" whenever you see a picture or article about her, as though she has personally wronged you in some way.
6. Buy into gender stereotypes and bitch to your friends that your boyfriend is a "typical man" whilst at the same time insisting that you like a man to "be a man"
7. Make sure your daughter helps you round the house and does her own laundry whilst simultaneously tidying your son's bedroom, changing his sheets, making his supper and ironing his shirts.
8. Read the Daily Mail
9. Say "I can't stand feminists" when in male company because you think that will please them.
10. Say "most of my friends are men. I get on better with them - women are too [insert sweeping generalisation of your choice].
And that's it! You've officially given your sex a bad name! Go you!
