Of all the idiotic, patronising, ludicrous and downright silly adverts for monthly ladyblood, this has to rank right down near the very bottom of the pile. I love a good euphemism (the attentive ones among you will have noted that I just referred to periods as "monthly ladyblood") but most adverts for tampons and the like are hideously coy about what it is they're talking about. This Australian advert, which has a bit of fun with the "beaver" euphemism, has created a right hullabaloo, with people complaining to the Advertising Standards Bureau left right and centre.
Personally? I think it's funny. What do you rec?

I vote funny. At least it takes a positive, fun approach to tampons, instead of the usual shame-filled blue liquid demonstrations.
I had to play it without sound so I don't know if that changes anyway, but I found the video itself to be hilarious! I agree with Allison - better the beaver than a jar of blue liquid.
Funny. What's all the fuss?
"anyway" should have been "anything" in my previous comment - can't spell today!
Glad I'm not the only one finding this harmless. I'm sure you could pick it apart and get riled up about the hunky men staring at her beaver admiringly, but I really can't bring myself to get seriously angry about a silly advert with a fake beaver in it.
Funny. Not roll in the aisles funny. But it's difficult to see how anyone could be offended by it.
