What do you think of when you see these photos? I'm guessing domestic abuse. Sadly, anytime we see women with black eyes, fat lips, and bloody noses, we automatically think that she's been physically, if not sexually abused. However, this ad is not depicting women who were victims of domestic abuse.
These women are apparent victims of their own breasts. The slogan of this ad campaign from Canada's "largest running store", Running Free, is "Support bras, now available". Look, I get it. I have FF cup tits, I know what a pain running can be. However, this ad is just wrong and I don't think it will speak to its target audience - WOMEN. Are women going to look at a photo of another woman, who looks like she's been beaten up, and then think, "Right. I'd really like to go buy a sports bra, now." I don't think so.
**UPDATE: Apparently these ads were never actually used by Running Free and they never commissioned the ads. Thank goodness...**
