Lily Allen on the fashion industry and London Fashion Week: "The models smelled of vomit."

lilyallen_fashion.jpg

The second episode of Lily Allen And Friends aired last night, and while some of segments are cheesy and border on boring, Lily is always witty and entertaining. In last night's episode she showed us clips from her video diary, and afterwards started telling her guest, Martin Freeman, about her time at London Fashion Week, and that she was that "quite upset" after one of the shows. Lily and Martin had this to say about the fashion industry and the health of the models:

Lily: "We were just chilling out, watching the show, and the model started walking down the catwalk and there was this horrible smell. And I was like, 'What is that?' and Lucy [Lily's friend/stylist] said, 'That's the vomit coming off of their breath.' Seriously. They stank of vomit."

Martin: "All joking aside, I find that whole world really dark."

Lily: "It's really sick. It's horrible."

Martin: "Yeah I don't like it."

Lily: "Also another thing that I noticed were that a lot of the models dresses were kind of backless, and you could see where their skin and discolored on their backs where it was pushing up against their spines."

Martin: "By any other name, it's just appalling. The whole industry is just riven with disease and hate."

Lily: "Yeah, it's not a good look."

Martin:
"And that's why I'm boycotting all clothes."

Martin Freeman! I just want to squeeze him. Kudos to Lily for saying they smelled of vom. I have experienced the same myself, and it's not pleasant.

I've always been under the impression that all women smell of petals. And not vomit-flavoured ones, either.
