Beware! Japanese women are cutting their hair!!!

Japanese Women Cutting Hair

Apparently the well being of Japan's economy is depicted in how the women of Japan wear their hair. If most women wear their hair long, it means the economy is doing well. If it they tend to be cutting their hair shorter, the strength of the economy must be weakening. Kao, Japan's second-largest cosmetics firm, says that they've regularly surveyed 1,000 women at a time in Tokyo and Osaka over the past twenty years, and that is how they first discovered this trend. Reuters report that,

"During the 1990s economic slump, short hair -- defined as above the collarbone -- became the dominant hairstyle for Japanese women. But since 2002, long hair has regained some popularity -- just as the economy started to expand, the Nikkei said."

Hmmm. Do buy into this? Or do you simply think this is some ploy for men to get their women to keep their hair long?
