cavewomanHelen Fischer of Reuters University, who declares herself as "definitely not a Feminist", claims that there should be more female managers due to women's natural tendency to think ahead. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this article, especially with Fischer's statement that, "When women apologise, they are not really sorry." Wow, really? Fischer assumes that for the most part, managers don't realize that men and women are different and that they actually "complement eachother".

Fischer's findings don't really surprise me, as duh, men and women are different and think differently. However, what I did find surprising was that the concept of a dual-income household is not something new. In fact, Fischer says, "In prehistoric times, double-income families were the norm, and women provided 60-80% of the evening meal." Yet it seems that the pendulum is swinging back the other way as the "status of women is on the rise again" and we seem to be moving forward "to a lifestyle we had a million years ago". Let us just hope this new/old way of living doesn't involve caves and mass amounts of body hair like it used to.
