In a recent poll done by breast enhancement supplement Voluptuo, they found that women fake the size of their breasts to keep their man happy. Golly, are you as surprised as I am?! This *highly scientific* company conducted a poll with over 3,000 adults across the UK to "highlight public attitudes towards breast enhancement". I'm guessing the attitude was "Yes, please."
They say that 35% of the women questioned "admitted to regularly wearing padded bras" (gasp!), and even more disturbingly, 12% of women admitted to stuffing their bras with "wadded tissue" or "chicken fillets". (No words yet on what brand of tissue they were using, if they were used tissues, or if the chicken fillets were frozen or cooked.)
22% admitted that "enhanced cleavage" would make them feel "more womanly" and that 30% confessed they had considered surgery to give them their ideal shape. The men questioned said that they preferred natural breasts, yet their ideal size would be a 34C, and liked the breasts of Nigella Lawson, Kelly Brooke, and Angelina Jolie. (Clearly, all natural, and all 34C...)
Voluptuo consulted a clinical psychologist named Dr Angharad Cooney, who had some amazing commentary to give on both women and their self esteem:
“The survey suggests that the self esteem of many women is influenced by their perception of their body, especially the size of their breasts. This leads to women feeling that their femininity and attractiveness is entirely down to the way that they look."
Doctor Cooney, you are blowing my mind.
