Hairdressing is (pardon the semi-pun) a bit of a cut-throat industry. A long way from the £8-a-cut mobile hairdressers some of us might be used to, the glamorous world of high-fashion snipping is both lucrative and glamourous...and highly competitive. On Monday night some of our girls went to the British Hairdressing Awards, where amazingly there was only one female nominee for the highly coveted British Hairdresser of the Year award.
