The BBC is rather concerned that they haven't had a female champion of the show Mastermind since Anne Ashurst in 1997. In fact, they're so concerned that they're putting advertisements in women's magazines to get more women interested. John Humphrys, the presenter of Mastermind, says,"It's odd. Women used to do better and there used to be more female contestants. It was the norm for women to do better than men. Then something changed. I'm not sure what."
Why do you think less women are interested in becoming a Mastermind?
