Taking at look at today's headlines, it appears that women just can't win when it comes to our looks. Okay, I know. As if this is anything new, right? But it's not until you really stop and read over the headlines of the day, that you see the mixed messages we get from the media.
Headline #1: Is Nigella Lawson getting to be an even bigger star?
Nigella Lawson has always been curvy, however, instead of being praised for her curvaceous figure, she's now being accused of having a pot belly and of setting a bad example with her "weight and her appetite for high calorie sweets and cream".
Headline #2: Posh's extra half inch - of knee flab
While we've already fretted about Victoria's leg fat during Calf Gate, now we're supposed to give a shit about her knee fat. Can you have fat knees? She's a human being for god sake! (Even if her upper half is a robot.)
Headline #3:Curvy Cate makes grand entrance at Elizabeth sequel premiere
I love Cate Blanchett. I do. As much as I'd love to call her "curvy" or "bigger", let's face it: she's not, and will probably never be. However, because she's not looking skeletal, she's now curvy, and probably pregnant: "The more womanly figure she displayed as she promoted her latest movie, in which she plays Queen Elizabeth I for the second time, prompted some to wonder whether the Oscar-winner, a mother of two, may be expecting another child."
Headline #4:Zeta Jones's little black dress reveals more than a new, trim figure
So, according to this story, Catherine has lost weight. But too much weight. She may be too skinny. And her dress is too revealing. GOSH!
Headline #5 Aging Helena Christensen swaps glamour for geek chic
So, if you're just spending time at home and are wearing your glasses, apparently you're "worn out" and "geeky". Helena Christensen was photographed wearing a pair of glasses, which were absolutely hideous, and was automatically "letting herself go" with her "unbrushed hair and a thrown together outfit - a far cry from her glamorous days on the catwalk in the 1990s".
