Would you ever trust a guy that said, "Don't worry girl. I'm on The Pill." Yeah. I wouldn't. Well, unless I knew him and he was, like, my serious BF, or if...oh never mind. MSNBC is reporting that male contraceptives could very soon be a reality, yet I seriously doubt how many men would use them. Some options for men could be The Sperm Blocker, which is literally a plug that goes into the vas deferens and blocks the sperm from getting through, or if that seems too intrusive, there may also be the option of a testosterone-like pill.
Or if your guy is afraid of taking a hormone pill (which most likely all of them will be) there is the non-hormonal pill with the component CDB-4022, which has prevented sperm from swimming to their destination when tested in monkeys. While it seems like a good idea, and that men should be taking more part in contraception (men currently only take responsibility for a third of contraception in the United States) I doubt they'll be able to sell the male population on this.
