Next month, on the 13th and 14th of October is the Baltimore Women's Film Fesitval! Yay! The festival "is dedicated and focused on seeking out cinema created by and for women" and 50% of all tickets sales go to The Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center. How awesome is that? Their website says that the BWFF was "founded by women who want to merge cinematic creativity, art and innovation surrounding film festival events with a focus on seeking advancement and change in women's health issues". And if that doesn't convince you to participate I don't know what will. (I would go, but I'm sort of in a different country...)
You can buy tickets online, and find out more about which films are playing on the Baltimore Women's Film Festival's website.
