The "feminization of the internet" has "arrived": more women are online than men

Carrie%20Bradshaw.jpgThe Guardian has written today that the "feminization of the internet" has "arrived". I guess for the ladies who have been online for a long time (and happen to blog for a living), it certainly doesn't feel like the concept of women being online has "arrived". But outside our geeky, internet loving circle of female friends,it is quite amazing that "women have also taken a slight but significant lead in the 35-49 [age] bracket".

Apparently 25 to 34-year-olds women "now spend more time using the internet than men", and a rising number of women over the age of 65 are online more often. How awesome is that? Ofcom reports that this trend is due to women finding more content online for them, where as in the past, site like eBay and fantasy football were directed at men.
