The Fawcett Society's "Make It Your Own" DIY feminist T-shirt competition

fawcett_DIY.jpgThe Fawcett Society is holding a contest for feminists across the UK to customize a "This is what a feminist looks like" T-shirt and win fabulous "green fashion prizes". Designer Karen Savage from London College of Fashion and writer Eithne Farry will be judging entries, and the Fawcett Society is currently giving away free T-shirts to the first 20 people to send in an entry form. You can customize your T-shirt however your creative little heart desires, and can buy them for £8 on Fawcett's website, or receive one free if you become a Fawcett Society member.

The prizes for winning the Make it your own DIY fashion competition are:

* Stylish shoes from Terra Plana
* Fairtrade silver jewellery from Silver Chilli
* Eco-friendly accessories from Emmeline4Re
* Eithne Farry's DIY fashion guide "Yeah, I Made It Myself"

Competition closes 1 September and winner will be announced at an exhibition after the Fawcett Society's AGM on 8 September.
