Take the Dollymix poll: "Do you think the word 'bitch' should be banned?"

The banning of ANY word is needlessly ridiculous as a blanket measure (there are probably some situations where disciplining someone for use of offensive language - e.g. in front of minors - is appropriate) because aside from the fact that it's symbolic and unenforceable, it's denying someone freedom of speech.

If someone wants to use it offensively, you can bet they're not going to be stopped by a rather stupid law. Anyway, if you're a decent person you know when to use certain words and when not to. To imply otherwise with laws like these is to waste the public's time and insult their intelligence.
