I'm sure by now you must have seen the rather disturbing clip of Lauren Caitlin Upton at the Miss Teen USA pageant referring to Iraq as "The Iraq" and saying things like "US Americans". ("There are people in our nation who don't...have maps...") Upton was invited on The Today Show to explain her side of the stupidity story. She said that she was just really nervous and that she couldn't really hear the question, and misunderstood it. Ah, of course.
