Matt Damon called James Bond a "misogynist" - the 14-year-old girl in me just squealed
At the London premeire of his new movie The Bourne Ultimatum (which kicks ass, by the way) Matt Damon called James Bond an "imperialist" and "misogynistic". Apparently when Damon was asked what he thought of people comparing Jason Bourne to James Bond, he replied:
"The Bond thing, I understand the comparison because they are both agents and it's the world of espionage and all, but the characters are so fundamentally different they almost don't bear comparison. Bond is an imperialist and a misogynist who kills people and laughs about it, and drinks Martinis and cracks jokes. Bourne is a serial monogamist whose girlfriend is dead and he does nothing but think about her."
Oh Matt...I think this may be reason enough for me to stop calling you "Mmmmaaaaattt Daaaaamoooonnnn". (Maybe.)
