Woman of the Week: Emma Watson

watters.jpgWe've already sung her praises on DollyMix for confiding to People magazine that she' is "a bit of a feminist. I'm very competitive and challenging." Watson goes on to endear herself to me by announcing: "I really want to go on to university," she is currently studying English literature, geography, and history of art. "I really wanted to continue what I was doing. I didn't want to have to give either one up. So I was in this really difficult position. People can't understand why I don't want to be a full-time actress, but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with reality."

Watters, as I like to call her, also mentions the whopping amounts she's earned doing the Harry Potter films: "Let's be honest: I have enough money never to have to work again, but I would never want that. Learning keeps me motivated."

"When I was 9 or 10, I would get really upset when they tried to make me look geeky, but now I absolutely love it. I find it's so much pressure to be beautiful. Hermione doesn't care what she looks like. She's a complete tomboy." With that healthy attitude to beauty as well as the zest for learning I'm keeping my fingers crossed that her parents will somehow adopt Lindsay Lohan, that girl definitely needs some parenting!
