Yay or Nay: Nicole Kidman the new face of the Nintendo DS "Brain Training" game

As Shiny Shiny reported yesterday, Nicole Kidman is the new face of the pan-European campaign for Dr. Kawashima’s "More Brain Training" game. I've never really had a problem with Nintendo, and I heart my DS, but this commercial leaves me pondering whether I hate it, or think it's a good idea.

I think it's great they picked a woman to head up a Nintendo campaign, especially considering it's for something other than "NintenDogs". But there's something about Nicole in this advert that makes me cringe. Perhaps it's her expressionless face while she says"Scissors!" over and over again, or the fact that she does, in fact, seem to be in dire need of intense "brain training". Whatever it is, I can't decide.

What do you think?

Yay
: She's perfect to promote Brain Training! She looks smart, intelligent, and will perhaps get more women into gaming.

Nay: She comes across a bit "air-headish" and Botox-ed.

Nay. I hate the way they made her look too perfect. I mean really. And the first 10 seconds did me in. That look of "shock" when her age came to 52. And what exactly does her real voice sound like? Whenever I hear her talk, she sounds different. I don't think she knows how to be normal or natural.

yay, she's gorgeous. And she has a high IQ.

She's respected worldwide. Mothers and teenage girls would do anything she would. Remember Chanel number 5?
