OMG! Tatiana Golovin wore red knickers to Wimbledon match! (Oh, and she won...)

0%2C5001%2C5544483%2C00.jpgI suppose for the rest of Wimbledon I'm just going to come in every morning and report to everyone how irritating it is that the big news of the day is what female tennis player was wearing what at their last match. Yesterday it was Maria Sharapova's swan-like dress, and today it's Tatiana Golovin's red knickers. If we're lucky, maybe tomorrow we'll get to talk about what brand of sports bra Nicole Pratt wears!!

It's f***ing ridiculous that press are too busy drooling over themselves to actually talk to Golovin about her tennis skills. The Herald Tribune reports that Tatiana Golovin was surprised that even after beating Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan 5-7, 6-3, 8-6, she was immediately bombarded with questions about her knickers, and responded, "Such threatening questions right away!" Apparently, after the ninth question about her choice of underwear Golovin replied: "Are these questions allowed here like this?'"

Golovin said she wore the red knickers, that barely passed Wimbledon's strict "white only" clothing guidelines, because: "They say red is the color that proves that you're strong and you're confident, so I'm happy with my red knickers." And you know what? Who the hell cares if she wants to push the rules a bit and wear red underwear? That's her prerogative.

A look at an inspiring family and how breakfast clubs and after school activities have changed their lives

It is a bit annoying that the press seem to write more about Ladies fashion than they do Ladies tennis. I mean sex sells & the number of young males that just watch tennis because there's some great looking girl running around on the court is staggering. I've got friends who know nothing of the other players, but just know about Sharapova, "because she's hot". I hope that Ana Ivanovic (HUGE fan!) is able to handle the pressure of being an attractive young lady & a professional tennis player at the same time. She's got quite a few male fans ... it would be interesting to see how many of them would still be fans if she didn't win as many games (or didn't look as radiant).
