This Monday that lovely Dollymixers share with us...
Have you ever had a successful date or relationship with somebody that you met through the internet?
Isabelle O'Carroll:
I met someone through the internet and we went out for nearly two years.
Katie Lee-
If I were single there is no question that I would shop for boys online. It makes perfect sense to me.
Susi Weaser:
No. But I'll keep you posted.
Laura Street:
Nope, not sure I'm a technosexual.
Cate Sevilla:
Met some English bloke on Myspace and liked him so much I ended up marrying him. Go figure.
Gemma Cartwright:
No. Ok, yes. But it obviously wasn't that successful, I'm single now!
Abi Silvester:
Depends on your definition of 'success' really...I have certainly had a lot of fun that way, more 'pash and dash' incidents than I'd care to name, gained a few stalkers and developed several unhealthy obsessions. However, I met my boyfriend via more traditional means, and would not want to look online ever again.
Charlotte Howells:
Nope. That's one use of the internet I haven't explored.
Alexandra Roumbas:
Ha! Define successful... if, by this, you mean long-lasting, then yes. If by this you mean remotely functional, then no. But the online element was not to blame for the fact that he was a lying, cheating, lazy and faintly illiterate ("alot"! I ask you...) waste of space. I think he met his wife on t'Internet. I met the current, wonderful reason all that doesn't matter in "real life" but MSN helped me get to know him.
Keris Stainton:
'Fraid not. I've been married since before the internet was invented (practically).
Glenda Young:
My partner and I have been together for 8 years this August. We met because of a shared interest (ok, it was Coronation Street!) over the internet rather than through a dating site. The online Corrie fan group used to meet up regularly and has generated a huge amount of relationships in "real life" offline too.
Zara Rabinowicz:
I've had unsuccessful meeting through the Interent (old/fat.married) but i did meet someone cute on Facebook once.. unfortunately he went out with my friend, but there you go.
Amber McNaught:
Nope, but in the early days of our relationship, my husband and I relied almost exclusively on email and ICQ...
Camilla Chafer:
Not as in a boy-girl relationship, but I've met lots of wonderful friends online.
Kimberly Foster:
Nope and have no intention on doing so. I like to see what I'm getting up-front.
Katherine Hannaford:
Most of my previous boyfriends I've met on the internet - either through MSN, dating websites, social-networking sites, or through friends online. I'm a huge advocate for dating online, it allows you to really connect and bond, before meeting face to face.
