Glamour Awards: Victoria Beckham is "Entrepreneur" and "Woman of the Year"

When you think of the phrases "female entrepreneur" and "prestigious women", who do you think of? Oprah Winfrey? Princess Diana? Apparently when Glamour magazine thinks of those phrases, they think Victoria Beckham. Last night at the Glamour Awards, donning sequinned hot pants and a bustier, Posh was awarded the two top awards of the night: "Entrepreneur of the Year" and "Woman of the Year". Yes, it's true. Out of all the women in the world, Victoria Beckham is the best, and apparently an "entrepreneur" that all women should be inspired by.

Glamour has taught me that I apparently look up to all of the wrong people. I'm so thankful for these awards, as I'm finally starting to "catch on" as to what makes a real glamourous woman. Teri Hatcher was awarded "Writer of the Year", Girls Aloud are "Band of the Year", and Sienna Miller is the "Film Actress of the Year", so I guess my faves are just all wrong. I mean, what about Lindsay Lohan for actress of the year? The Cheeky Girls for band of the year? Did it not occur to Glamour that Katie Price has her, like, 10th book coming out? If that doesn't qualify her for writer of the year, I'm not sure what would! (And she's pregnant for God sake!)

What we all need to learn, is that real women marry footballers, wear hot pants, and use their celebrity to get their designer friends to give them clothing lines. You don't actually need to be able to sing, or act well, girls. Whether it's dancing with barely any clothes on, or dating a hot, rich guy - you just need to figure out what works for you. Sure there are other award ceremonies that focus on common women who run their own businesses, but that's not nearly as GLAMorous or important as being in a manufactured pop band, or the fact that you dated Jude Law a couple years ago.
