Ventriloquist and comedienne Nina Conti first came to my attention whilst performing on Comic Relief a few years ago. She was born in London and mainly performs around the capital, often at the Comedy Store. In 2002, Conti received the BBC New comedy award and has since gone on to be part of a series of TV shows including Blunder, Single and Black Books.
As well as being a talent comedian and actor, she also describes herself as a "reluctant writer", and has a first class honors degree in philosophy from the University of East Anglia. She performs stand-up with her sidekick puppet called 'Monk'. Please enjoy a clip of her performing with Monk at the Royal Albert Hall for the Tickled Pink charity!
