Apparently a man in San Mateo, California, is being charged for biting off his wife's lip. (No, it's not Mike Tyson.) 54-year-old Akano Nzerem is being federally charged on counts of domestic violence, mayhem, false imprisonment, battery and making criminal threats against his wife, all because she antagonized him by calling him short. Nzerem says that she attacked him first with a "you're a short man" insult, to which he responded by giving his Missus a "bear hug" and bit her lower lip off in the process. Police are said to have found her lip on the floor, but were unable to reattach it. Nzerem is also facing misdemeanor charges of child endangerment, as the couple has a 16-year-old daughter, whom he apparently shoved out of the way to attack his wife. The lip-biter is up for a $500,000 bail, and his trial is to begin in June.
