logo2.gifA day care center in Tennessee has been closed after the child care provider hid three crying infants during an unannounced inspection. Apparently the woman put three babies in playpens, and covered them with blankets to hid the children, and then left them in a room with a sign on the door that read "Private day care center, do not go beyond this door". When inspectors found the crying children, the worker pretended like she didn't know they were down there. ("I had no idea how those crying babies got down there! Someone must have put them there!") The day care owner, Paulette Colter, was on vacation at the time, and has since had her license suspended. Why it hasn't been revoked completely, I'm not sure, considering that ten children that stayed at the day care center were infected with E. coli last June. Sounds like a great place, ya got there Paulette!
